Everything flows smoothly

Nuremberg, Germany, November 22, 2016 - ABB adds the next generation of electromagnetic flowmeters to the well proven Process and HygienicMaster product family.
ProcessMaster/HygienicMaster FEP/FEH610 is the latest member in ABB’s electromagnetic flow metering familiy. It is the first flowmeter from ABB to be incorporated into the next generation of platform based electromagnetic flowmeters.

FEP/FEH610, equipped with basic functionality, means a very good value for money. Features such as service interval and temperature monitoring, as well as noise and grounding tests for the sensor is included.

The new devices fit seamlessly into ABB’s common operating concept for measurement products. Standardized configuration and operating procedures reduce the need for training significantly, thus increasing operator’s efficiency.

Insufficient or faulty grounding results in noisy flow readings and less accurate flow measurement. Built-in noise filtering combined with a grounding check ensure measurements are reliable from day of installation.

The new devices feature comprehensive online diagnostics and continuous self-monitoring, detecting Hardware errors, process issues and incorrect operation. This includes signal processing, sensor coil drive current, wiring, data integrity and operability of the in- and outputs.

As an option the unique ABB-infrared adapter allows accessing the flowmeter transmitter without any intervention. Full access to the device is provided at any time. The adapter is common and can be used with other ABB flowmeters.

The universal transmitter for all the variants lowers costs of ownership significantly. Operating convenience ensures the well-proven SensorApplicationMemory storing sensor calibration data and the transmitter configuration. Once the converter is powered, it performs a self-configuration replicating the data from the SensorApplicationMemory into the transmitter automatically. This greatly simplifies commissioning of the system.
The “Fingerprint”, which is a reference data set representing the “new state” of the device, enables for meter-verification comparing the reference data with the current state of the device.

The new 610 ProcessMaster and HygienicMaster series offers the industry’s widest range of liners, electrodes and sizes to meet the needs of all standard process applications in sectors as diverse as chemical, power, oil & gas, pulp & paper, metals & mining and food & beverage.

The transmitter is easy to operate and provides the output signal that meets your needs. With ProcessMaster/HygienicMaster FEP/FEH610 you get a versatile, reasonably priced, most accurate flow meter tailored for your applications. A flowmeter with base functionality and short lead time delivering a clear business benefit.
