Power Minister takes a closer look at ABB’s offering for sustainable cities


New Delhi: Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines in the Government of India took a closer at ABB’s smart offerings for powering cities and homes at Intelect 2017. On exhibit were a range of digital and connected innovations for low- and medium-voltage, which make today’s cities safer and more sustainable. The minister especially viewed the offerings in gas-insulated and air-insulated switchgear and ring main unit, which are designed, engineered and manufactured in India for specific local requirements.

From distribution automation, energy measurement solutions and compact switchgear for secondary distribution, to building and home automation solutions like KNX and free@home, are on exhibit at the ABB India booth at Intelect, demonstrating future technologies that bring power to your doorstep. Such next generation technology will tap into energy, automation, communication and software to deliver greater intelligence, predictability and efficiency.
