ABB Ability™ MyRemoteCare delivers added value services

Jun. 28, 2017, ABB Customer Word (ACW 2017) in Hangzhou, China, ABB launches the latest ABB Ability™ solution in medium voltage, MyRemoteCare smart assets management cloud platform, providing a whole solution for medium voltage to achieve the interconnection of things, service, and people.

ABB Ability, connected and software-enabled solutions, enable customers to manage their assets based on insights into real-time data, enabling a range of new services and easier maintenance.
ABB Ability MyRemoteCare is a cloud-based smart asset management solution developed by ABB global technical center, which has been applied on more than 1,000 medium-voltage assets in the field. By monitoring the real-time situation of assets, and analyzing the off-line or historical data, MyRemoteCare is able to assess and diagnoze the current health of assets. With the asset condition assessment and pre-alarm, potential faults can be detected before they become an issue. Users can manage the assets depending on the situation in the most timely way possible. This solution helps improve assets management efficiency, reduce cost from unplanned outage or long time repairing.

Service is connected with MRC. Once assets abnormal is detected, service from ABB will be fast activated to solve user assets problems. Meanwhile, MRC is able to connect or integrated with other ABB Ability systems.

MyRemoteCare smart asset management platform achieves:

  • Asset data collection, allowing smart/non-smart assets data to be part of assets historical data.
  • Asset healthy evaluation and diagnosis, judging the situation trend of assets, alarms based on current situation.
  • Asset historical data collection and storing, building specific service strategy for specific assets.
  • Pfofessional asset service execution, all execution process and result is part of assets historical record.

Taking the cutting-edge advantage of this solution, ABB can provide a flexible service solution to customers. Benefits include reductions of 30% asset service cost, 50% failure recovery time, and 50% assets failure rate.
