At Security China 2012, ABB showcased its full range of leading-edge technologies and solutions for intelligent buildings and smart homes, including the Welcome 8 series, an all-digital TCP/IP series launched this year, the G series door entry systems, the priOn series i-bus intelligent building control system, and the Uni-art series of electrical wiring accessories, all of which meet the requirements of customers in the high- and medium-end markets. Among them, the Welcome series all-digital TCP/IP door entry system is appropriate for large communities and its bandwidth-based deployment solves the problem of busy lines, increasing the safety and reliability for users.

An interactive showroom was set up in the ABB booth, at which visitors could experience the green and intelligent lifestyle enabled by ABB solutions through operating the system via iPad/iPhone. As part of their presentation, ABB's product engineers gave a technical solution talk and made themselves available for a Q&A with the audience. The “ABB Low Voltage Products Customer Tour to Security China 2012” invited more than one hundred real estate developers, extra-low voltage (ELV) contractors, and distributors for a hands-on experience with ABB’s offerings.

Since its introduction in 2010, the Welcome series has been installed in such premium projects as the Boutique Hotel Five Avenues Tianjin and Sanya Blue Bay, and received several prestigious awards including the “Top 10 Security Brands” by Security & Automation in 2011 and 2012, the “Most Fashionable Household Products” in 2011 and 2012 by Trends Home Magazine, and the “Red Dot” award, considered the Oscar in the design community.
