The training was held in the newly renovated and refurbished training area. During the course of the training the participants gained valuable knowledge about PCM600, IEC 61850, Bay Control and MicroSCADA. The training session was supervised by our experienced External Channel Partner trainer Sven-Olof “Svempa” Löfgren with the help of the MicroSCADA specialist, our colleague Jarkko Hautamäki from Finland. The course participants started with unconfigured IEDs and by the end of the training session had configured two bay control IEDs with horizontal and vertical communication and a full-fledged MicroSCADA application all by themselves.
Apart from the training sessions the participants also got the time to visit our Demo Substation Alpha, the R&D laboratory and the RTDS power system simulator. They also showed great interest in our newly developed Demo Kit, which is a powerful training and marketing tool. The Demo Kit gives the partner representatives the ability to present our IEDs, tools and communication equipment’s competitive advantages on the spot in a very compact piece of equipment.
The participants expressed that they found the quality of the training to be very high and that they would recommend it to their colleagues. They were also appreciative of the extra exercises without instructions that motivated them to think even further.
The next ECP training in Västerås will take place in May 2017. For more information about this training please contact your regional sales manager/area sales manager.
