ABB’s new generation DC fast charger Terra 63 Z makes its debut at ACW 2017

Hangzhou, June 28th, 2017 - ABB, a global technology pioneer, has launched its newest DC fast charger Terra 63 Z at ABB Customer World 2017, to further complete its portfolio of EV charging products and solutions.

As a new member of the Terra family, Terra 63 Z conforms to China’s newest charging interface standard, with an output power of 60 kW. It fits the need of fast charging en route and is an ideal choice for highway charging stations, EV dealers, gasoline stations and downtown charging hubs. Extensive local design and production make Terra 63 Z better suit the need of Chinese market and also provide an open platform for future function expansion and upgrade.

Frank Muehlon, head of ABB’s Electric Vehicle Charging-Infrastructure business, delivered a speech. “ABB has a tremendous amount of experiences in EV charging products and solutions. The launch of Terra 63 Z is now an important step to align our product roadmap closer with the demands of the Chinese market. ABB will better satisfy the Chinese customers with smarter and safer product. ”

Allen Dong, EVI product marketing manager, ABB China, added that ABB has a great offering also for automatic fast charging systems of electric buses and hybrid buses with charging power ranging from 150 kW to 600kW, depending on the need, like overnight charging or en-route charging. This will be a critical step for the goal of zero pollution jn urban public transport.
