ABB Ability™ Electrical Distribution Control System is the innovative cloud-computing platform designed to monitor, optimize and control the electrical system. Leveraging Emax 2 air circuit breaker’s built-in sensing and connectivity, the system is built on a state-of-the-art cloud architecture for data collection, storage and analyzation. As part of ABB Ability™, this cloud architecture has been developed together with Microsoft in order to enhance performance and guarantee the highest reliability and security.

MyRemoteCare (MRC) is a cloud smart assets management solution developed by ABB global technical center, which has been applied on more than 1,000 MV assets on field. By monitoring the real-time situation of assets, and analyzing the off-line or historical data, MRC is able to assess and diagnose the current healthy situation of assets. With the assets condition assessment and pre-alarm, MRC is able to discover failure before it happens. Users could manage the assets depending on the situation timely. Meanwhile, MRC is able to connect or integrated with other ABB Ability systems. Taking the cutting-edge advantage of this solution, ABB could provide flexible service solution to customers. 30% of assets service cost, 50% of failure recovery time, and 50% of assets failure rate could be cut down.

As a local R&D achievement, MNS Digital switchgear is newly developed and manufactured by ABB MNS® production base located in Xiamen City, China. It combines internet technology and smart sensor for the realization of remote monitoring, control and setting. It provides big data analysis to the customers on the basis of detailed fault diagnosis and event log. It can also provide early warning against equipment failures thus to realize the proactive maintenance and ensure a safe, reliable and continuous power supply. As part of the ABB AbilityTM portfolio, MNS Digital switchgear can be integrated into the cloud platform to provide a comprehensive digital solution to customers.

ABB is a leading brand in the cloud-connected EV charging business. To better satisfy the Chinese customers with smarter and safer product, conforming to China’s newest charging interface standard, Terra 63 Z was introduced at ACW. With an output power of 60 kW, it fits the need of fast charging en route and is an ideal choice for highway charging stations, EV dealers, gasoline stations and downtown charging hubs.

ABB's innovative energy and power automation technologies make it safer, greener and more convenient to use all kinds of energy sources. In soar segment, with a landscape modular design, ABB’s Trio-TM-50/60 string inverter, aims to maximize the ROI , serving as an intellegent center of the PV system; ABB’s new Tmax PV, can meet the DC side 1500V or AC side 800V application conditions, to provide effective overload and short-circuit protection.

The Belt and Road initiative and the region upgrading provide an engine to the transport industry for enhancing contectivity. Responding to the demand of morden traction power supply, ABB launched comprensive MV offerings including DC switchgear, DC wayside traction power solutions and energy management. In addition, ZX2 AirPlus eco-efficient switchgear for power distribution of rail transmit was aslo exhibited. These new products reduce >99.99% of the GWP (Global Warming Potential) and ensure the personel safety while keeping all advantages of compact, reliable and safe of mature GIS.

At this ACW, ABB EP division also exhibits other innovations in electrification filed, including: ABB’s high-performance power supplies CP-C.1, have a 50 % integrated power reserve to keep power supply when heavy load start; DBL range distribution blocks, save up to 50% rail space compared to conventional distribution bars and reduce assembly time by 80%; ABB’s total solution for earthing and lightning protection, limits the life loss rate below 1/100,000 and provides saftety ensureance for both facilities and individuals.
