ABB introduces ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation at DatacenterDynamics (DCD) 2017
2017-04-11 - ABB once again participated at DatacenterDynamics (DCD) 2017 with exciting line-up by introducing ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation. The latest version of ABB’s data center automation offering comes with added integrations, more functionality, and flexibility to enable better transparency and interoperability.
Taken at the same venue like last year, Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan Jakarta, ABB brings all the value lies in the advanced technologies, digital expertise and industry-specific know-how. Decathlon for Data Centers has consequently become another addition to ABB Ability™ with the integration of Intel® Data Center Manager (Intel® DCM). Intel DCM brings the ability to access both the power consumption and thermal information within a server to ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation, allowing it to directly manage the efficiency of servers, racks and groups of servers in the data center.
Meanwhile, ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation provides asset management capabilities by enabling data center managers to correlate Intel DCM data with environmental data, maintenance records and controls to securely automate and manage both workflow and physical data centers infrastructure.
“We are excited to introduce ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation to our potential customers at DCD 2017,” said Sutrisno Sutedjo, Control Technology business unit manager, Industrial Automation, ABB in Indonesia. “The new version of ABB Ability™ Data Center Automation is the most versatile release of the product yet. Customers will be excited about the possibilities to collect data directly from servers and merge them seamlessly into their data center overview,” said Madhav Kalia, Global Head of Data Center Automation at ABB.
