Following a long relationship with LEAF, this is the first time that ABB has engaged as a headline partner of the awards, reinforcing the company’s commitment to be a collaborative partner for the global architect community.
Commenting on the headline partnership, Katrin Förster, who is International Key Account Manager for Architects and Interior Designers at ABB said: “ABB is at the forefront of developing relevant technologies for the construction and building industry. We believe in working in close partnership with architects because by offering innovative, simple to use solutions such as home automation, we become a natural and essential chapter during an architect´s professional client consultation. And being a part of the architect´s creative building design, our solutions will not only improve the quality of people’s lives but also protect our environment for today and for future generations. Our involvement in this year’s LEAF Awards will further cement our relationship within this dynamic and creative sector.”
ABB is an integral provider and partner in the creative design process to deliver higher-level intelligent buildings.
Using an ABB Ability™ platform ABB can tailor a customized building automation solution. It can connect hundreds or even thousands of devices to work in concert which can flex according to demand and occupancy for improved comfort and convenience, security and productivity. Furthermore, if the building is connected to the smart grid it could allow for even further control and opportunities for cost and energy efficiencies.
“We are very much looking forward to meeting all the finalists at this year’s awards ceremony and supporting the showcase of inspiring talent on offer. We believe that technology and sustainability go hand in hand and it is the combination of technology and design that makes this industry one of the most exciting to be involved with. We are proud to be headline partner of the ABB LEAF Awards 2017,” concluded Katrin.
The winners will be unveiled at a glittering prize dinner at the Royal Horseguards Hotel on 21 September 2017.
