Annually, the Bartlesville, Oklahoma office appoints an Activities Committee to organize events for employees, as well as the annual charitable giving functions. This year’s committee challenged their fellow co-workers during the month of October to open their hearts to contribute food to support The Agape’ Mission, a local organization that prepares meals for the needy. Through the support of the dedicated managers challenging their departments and the generosity of some 200 employees, Totalflow collected 5,564 pounds of food to donate to Bartlesville’s cherished food kitchen. This total shattered previous year’s donations; in fact the employees doubled the previous record. On average, each employee contributed approximately twenty seven pounds of food. In addition, a matching contribution of $3,000 will be given by the ABB Foundation.
Gayle Lester, General Manager of the Bartlesville office, is proud of the generosity of her organization and compliments the Activity Committee on an excellent drive this year. “I’m proud of our employees and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results,” said Katrina Lucas, President of the Activity Committee. “This will help so many families in our community and our entire organization really stepped up to support the drive.”
The Agape Mission Executive Director said “The 9 pallets of food will help feed our clients for several weeks. We fed over 4,800 meals during the month of October 2012 and the ABB donation will directly impact our mission, because we won't have to go and purchase these goods as we go into the holiday season. We appreciate all that ABB has helped us accomplish, not only this year but over the past several years!”
