Protection and Control IED Manager PCM600 and Integrated Engineering Tool IET600 were the first tools in the world to be awarded IEC 61850 conformance testing certificates.
During the year, new versions of the tools with enhanced functionality were also introduced. The updated versions allows users to enjoy easier IEC 61850 system engineering, testing and product configuration.GOOSE engineering made simple with PCM600 2.8
The recent user surveys have highlighted that the simplified method for GOOSE engineering with PCM600 2.8 was one of the most well received additions to improve the user-friendliness of the IED Manager. In the Application Configuration of PCM600, users can simply make a connection from one signal to another Relion® protection and contol relay signal, for GOOSE engineering. As the connections are made directly on the IED Application, the user gains a full understanding of the GOOSE signal usage throughout the engineering.
The latest updates also include enhanced security using Ethernet configuration, mixing Flexible Product Named IEDs with Standard Named IEDs and quality and performance improvements.Engineering Edition 1 and 2 IEDs in the same project with IET600 5.3 FP2
IET600, which allows system engineers and integrators to define and configure the complete substation automation systems according to IEC 61850, is now able to support various SCD file export options. This means that in mixed IEC 61850 Ed. 1 and Ed. 2 systems, a user can export partial SCD files containing only Ed. 1 or Ed. 2 IED information.
The latest version also offers IEC 61850 Log Control Block (LCB) configuration as an option as well as numerous functionality improvements. According to the recent user survey, customers very much appreciated the improved tool performance and IEC 61850 engineering but also the opportunity to have Ed. 1 and Ed. 2 IEDs in the same project.ITT600 2.0 SP2 supports complete IED view for functionalities
Integrated Testing Tool ITT600, designed for easy diagnosis and troubleshooting of IEC 61850-compliant substation automation systems and applications, now offers the ability to show a complete IED status view in respect to its testing configuration. This ranked highly in the recent user survey of the latest updates introduced. In addition, the IED disconnection check has been improved. This check alerts the user if blocking, testing, simulation or substitution is still active in case disconnecting an IED. Alongside the many improvements, ITT600 can now show additional IED and SCL data.
