Note from Discrete Automation and Motion Division Head in Australia, Jussi Rautee

Firstly it was great to meet so many of you at ABB Australia's inaugural Automation and Power World event recently. We met many people from all over Australia - from some of the biggest mines in the west to people who work with industrial robots in the food and beverage industries on the east coast of Australia. A number of our rail, utilities, oil & gas plus water customers also attended the event.

Have a look at the great pictures of our inaugural show on Facebook and Flickr. We also kept a blog throughout the event, which featured summaries of the popular panel discussion sessions, where we brought together a panel of industry experts to discuss challenges such as "What does operating in a 'carbon tax economy' mean for Australian industries?" and "How do companies go about achieving industrial productivity?".

It's been a big year for ABB in Australia. We have helped a number of companies with issues relating to energy efficiency, grid reliability, industrial productivity and renewable energy solutions. As the year draws to a close, we would like to thank you for your interest in our company and our initiatives. We are interested in learning about your experiences with ABB and finding ways to improve our service to you, so please fell free to contact me or a member of our team at any time.

The ABB team looks forward to working with you again in 2013. In the meantime, we take this opportunity to wish you, your families and friends a peaceful and safe holiday season plus a prosperous New Year.

Seasons' greetings,

Jussi Rautee
