ABB wins its first power consulting order in China

ABB (China) Limited has teamed up with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corp. Ltd. Inner Mongolia Branch and Beijing Shouhang IHW Resources Saving Technology Company Ltd. to win feasibility study report compilation of Inner Mongolia Erlianhaote Sonid Right Banner No. 1 microgrid pilot project. It is the first ABB power consulting project in China, which is important for helping consulting business expansion and building up local consulting team.

In this project ABB is mainly responsible for three parts: economic and reliability analysis of project alternatives, preliminary design of energy storage system, and preliminary design of scheduling monitoring and operation management system. Based on the quantitative data the report analyzes the investment and construction feasibility of microgrid scientifically and rationally. ABB provides practical solutions and helps to maximize the economic and social benefits of the project.

leveraging on abundant local wind, solar resources, Inner Mongolia Erlianhaote Sonid Right Banner No. 1 microgrid pilot project aims to build a grid-connected microgrid integrating wind power, PV and solar thermal power generation, to realize the local consumption and efficient utilization of renewable energy, and to ensure the power quality and power supply reliability in this area.
