The most recent charitable activity conducted by ABB members with a warm-hearted name “ABB Home – Tet of Love” was held at National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) on 17 January 2014, with the purpose of bringing a warm Tet to pediatric patients who are day by day facing with blood diseases. Participants of the event were Mr. Axel Kalt – the new Country Manager of ABB in Vietnam accompanied by other ABB members, Mr. Le Lam – Vice Director of NIHBT and other representatives from NIHBT.
175 gift sets were handed to each patient family from Children’s Blood Disorders Department and Hemophilia Department by Mr. Axel and representatives from ABB Board of Management and employees. Those small presents convey the greatest love and New Year wishes from ABB members to all children and their families.
Also in this event, Mr. Axel gave a short speech, expressing how attentive ABB is to foster charitable activities. In addition, he emphasized the active involvement of ABB in implementing corporate social responsibility by listing a wide range of ABB social contribution activities: fundraising for Japan earthquakes, renovation of the Peace Village in Hanoi (2011), equipment donation and service support to Uong Bi Hospital (2012) and ABB transformer sponsored to Hoang Mai Electricity in May 2013, etc.
The program “ABB Home – Tet of Love”, with its meaningful objectives, has reaffirmed ABB Vietnam’s determination to become a good citizen of the community. At the same time, it pushes ABB closer toward the society, ensuring its long-term development in the future.
