The latest all-electric model to arrive in North America, Kia's Soul EV is built with a 27kWh battery, yielding a range of approximately 80-100 miles on a full charge. Kia dealers with ABB's charging stations will offer charging at no cost to Soul EV owners, with the first wave of stations populating dealer locations along the west coast.
"The Soul EV is a key vehicle within Kia's 'Clean Mobility' program, and having access to Level 2 and DC fast chargers at our select dealerships is an additional opportunity for Kia to provide value to Soul EV owners in comfortable, premiere locations," said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning at Kia Motors America. "Our customers are making a sincere effort to be eco-conscious and Kia is committed to delivering both flexible and convenient charging options to Soul EV owners."
Soul EV owners will be provided an RFID card, giving them access to the DC fast chargers via Greenlots SKY network system. Drivers will be able to easily find these charging stations via Kia's smartphone app or the touchscreen inside the vehicle.
