Pampa Energía S.A. improves reliability with ABB Asset Maintenance Partnership

June 30, 2017, Westerville, Ohio, USA – ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has received an order from Pampa Energía S.A. for an ABB Asset Maintenance Partnership agreement to service electrical and automation equipment at its facility in Argentina.

ABB’s Asset Maintenance Partnership is a contract model in which ABB is trusted with responsibility to maintain selected assets on behalf of the customer. The contract model includes performance-based targets whereby ABB is contractually committed to perform to a certain level.

The ABB Asset Maintenance Partnership agreement for Pampa Energía includes site management, preventive maintenance audits, corrective maintenance, ABB ServicePro service management software, the Automation Sentinel lifecycle management program, coordination of analytical instrumentation services, emergency call-out services, remote-enabled condition monitoring and regular customer meetings.

“Although it is a service relationship that we have had for some time, we have used a new mode of monitoring and have seen improvements in the control system with a reduction in corrective maintenance due to the execution of preventive routines and development of predictive maintenance,” said Rodolfo Moraga, Manager, Electricity and Instrument Management Maintenance, Pampa Energia S.A. “It has also allowed us to add the experience of the manufacturer in other areas such as analytics and optimization, improving response significantly.”

Pampa Energia S.A., Argentina, participates in transportation of natural gas and processing of natural gas liquids. Pampa Energia has recently acquired Petrobras Argentina, adding the refining and distribution of hydrocarbons to its suite of energy offerings. Pampa Energia S.A is listed in the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BASE) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol "PAMP."
